Fiery summer sunset over Gullfoss Falls, Iceland

Tickets

Gullfoss Falls is one of the most popular attractions on the Golden Circle tourist route, a stunning cascade aptly nicknamed the Golden Falls due to the shimmering golden tint of the water as sunlight reflects off it in late afternoon.

You don’t need tickets to visit Gullfoss Falls. No reservations or permits are required.

Currently, no entrance fees are needed to view the falls, and parking is also free, making this beautiful waterfall one of the more budget-friendly attractions on the Golden Circle route.

However, if you are planning to take one of the many popular Golden Circle tours, book your tickets well in advance (as they sell out quickly).

Restrooms are available at the visitor center, and a small fee may be charged for usage.

Note that while you can view Gullfoss Falls 24×7 throughout the year, the visitor center (and the café and the souvenir shop) are typically open from 09:30 am to 07:00 pm.
